March 20th is World Oral Health Day
Oral health should be a priority for every age group and member of your family. Our Cincinnati family dentist invites you to celebrate World Oral Health day by renewing your commitment to oral health, no matter what year you were born.
World Oral Health Day is recognized every year on March 20th. Its purpose is to promote international awareness of the issues concerning oral health and the benefits of a healthy mouth. This year’s theme focuses on the connection between oral health and overall well-being: “It all starts here. Healthy mouth. Healthy body.”
Hardin Advanced Dentistry has been championing the mouth-body connection for years and is pleased that the World Dental Federation (FDI) has chosen this important subject as 2016’s theme.
According to the FDI, 90 percent of our global population will suffer from oral diseases in their lifetime. Many of these unfortunate situations can be avoided with adequate prevention, detection and proper treatment. These important measures help people across the globe and should hold high priorities in your own household:
- Prevention: Ensure every member of your family is committed to oral hygiene. This includes brushing and flossing at least twice a day and taking proper care of braces and dentures.
- Detection: Make sure every family member visits a dentist at least twice a year for regular check-ups.
- Treatment: Don’t let little problems become serious health issues. Consult with Dr. Hardin and treat important issues as they arise.
If you don’t already have an annual check-up scheduled at Hardin Advanced Dentistry, now is the perfect time to book an appointment by completing the form on this page or calling (513) 398-4448. Our Cincinnati family dentist welcomes patients from Mason and Dayton Ohio, as well as Southeast Indiana and Northern Kentucky.
